I have been selling commercial properties and businesses since 2008 with my speciality being service stations. Before becoming a broker, I operated multiple service stations from metropolitan to regional areas with different types of operations, for example, large truckstops, depot fronts and service stations with multinational tenants like McDonald’s.

Being employed by BP and Caltex distributors I gained extensive experience by working under these two major oil companies branding and franchise requirements. I also worked for Neumann Petroleum being their retail /business development manager to their service station network which consisted of over 40 services stations Queensland wide.   Neumann Petroleum purchased Matilda which in turn was sold to Puma Energy. My extensive background in the fuel industry (retail and wholesale) gives me the knowledge and experience that no other broker in Australia can provide.

I am not limited to selling service stations and have sold mechanical workshops, car washes and general businesses. To successfully sell any business it is vital to have a complete understanding of all aspects of the business – financially and operationally.  Presenting a professional and ethical image is important to me and instils trust from not only Sellers but also the Buyers.

I was born in Brisbane and educated in Brisbane, Wellington and Auckland. I have worked and lived in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Taiwan and Namibia.

Over the past 25 years I have held directorships in large international organizations which focused mainly on “full facilities management”, “purchasing and logistics” and “manufacture and distribution mainly into retail and food service markets”. I have successfully worked as a consultant within the toll road, tourism, supply/logistics environment, and the leisure and food service industry. I have completed feasibility studies and advised on the partnering and/or acquisition phases of targeted businesses.

I have been very successful in devising plans for the marketing and positioning of large organizations, which have the express intention of incorporation, or selling all, or part of their interests. On my return to Australia in 2001 I became a “Certified Practising Business Broker” holding licences in several states and am a member of the Business Brokers Chapter of the REIQ.

In December 2003 I became a founding director/shareholder of Business Sales Australia” which is now a dominant brokerage in Queensland and northern NSW and well regarded for its professional standards.
